The Nasty Trick (La Vacherie) February 2002

Janet's bit of gardening at Christmas meant that Stephen and I arrived to a lovely display of spring flowers and they got better during the 10days or so we were there. Our main task was to clear the field of brambles. In the end we found a chain saw and brush wood cutter the most effective.

We did a little work in the house, putting up a wall between the kitchen and stairway and started work upstairs contructing the rooms.

Even though we kept a fire going for 48 hours the bees or wasps continued to use our chimney as their home. Click on the photo below and you can just see them.
