The Nasty Trick (La Vacherie) March 2002

Janet and I were originally just going to France for 5 days to look at the work a contractor had promised to do for us on the large field. When we got there it had not been done and the contrator was nowhere to be found. Eventually he was found and could not do the work until the following week and so Janet came back to the UK and Chris stayed on to supervise the work.

We got quite a lot of work done, a new sink near the downstairs toilet, new windows upstairs, plasterboarding progressed and best of all the back garden almost dug and the field levelled.

We have now left the local farmer to grade the field and sow with grass seed. The ramp down to the river needs to be concreted.
