The Nasty Trick (La Vacherie) August 2003

The last visit cost us just £149 in ferry fare, this time it was even less at £129 but we had to travel from Weymouth which added another 50 mins to the journey in the UK. This time the ferry was via Guernsey and on the way back we had 6 hours on the island to enjoy shopping and eating. The first was great with Diesel at 38p per litre but at the restaurant the bottle of water cost £3.50 for .75 litre.

This time only a few days at La Vacherie after visiting friends in La Mothe Achard. Still we managed to finish off the kitchen, WC, Shower and the upstairs bedroom and hall. In the case of upstairs we put on skirting board and architrave.

Just under the bridge is a flood plane - in the UK we would have built on it and then complained that it floods
